Awards

Valley Vines was picked as the winner for South Cowichan Chamber of Commerce “Small Business of the Year” in 2007 and has been nominated several years for the same award.

We entered some of our wines to the Wine Makers Magazine International Wine Competition in 2007. This resulted in a Gold Medal for our own Mango Citrus icewine-style. In addition, we were awarded 2 silver medals and 4 bronze medals for other wines we entered.

In 2005 we were nominated for the Vancouver Island Business Examiner Business Excellence Awards for “Community Leader of the Year” This was based on our support of many different initiatives such as Art-A-Fair, Baard at Brentwood, Cowichan Valley Wine Festival, and several other local events. The awards night were held at the Empress Hotel and we placed third in the category (Tom Harris won).
